Our History

Powder coating was introduced to the United States in the late 1960's. Its market appeal grew in the mid-1970's because powder coatings produce an inherently higher-quality appearance and a more durable finish than most alternative coating methods. And while the process has steadily gained in popularity, there are many different levels of quality within powder coating.

Star Finishes was founded in 2000 when we saw the need for high-end, custom and "Class A" powder-coating service in the Central San Joaquin Valley . We believed a central location in the heart of California would allow us to provide specification-type parts finishing for companies located throughout the state.

Star Finishes was one of the first powder-coating companies in the state of California to employ a non-chromate conversion coating. Using this environmentally friendly process was very important to the company's partners and has proven to be equally important to our customers.

The management team of Star Finishes has a combined 60 years of experience in manufacturing and sales. The culture of Star Finishes is one of teamwork, with a "question everything" mentality. Quality, service and reliability are the focus of every employee of Star Finishes.
